North­west Flori­da Beach­es Inter­na­tion­al Air­port Escape Cam­paign Video Wins Gold for Best Travel/​Tourism Cat­e­go­ry in the 39th Annu­al Tel­ly Awards

PANA­MA CITY, FL — (August 21, 2018) – North­west Flori­da Beach­es Inter­na­tion­al Air­port (ECP) announced today its Escape cam­paign video has been named a Gold­en Tel­ly Award win­ner in the Travel/​Tourism cat­e­go­ry in the 39th Annu­al Tel­ly Awards. The Tel­ly Awards hon­ors excel­lence in video and tele­vi­sion across all screens and it is judged by lead­ers from video plat­forms, tele­vi­sion and stream­ing net­works, agen­cies, and pro­duc­tion com­pa­nies includ­ing Vice, Vimeo, Hearst Dig­i­tal Media, and BuzzFeed.

The Escape cam­paign video is designed to pro­mote the non-stop, direct and con­nect­ing flights ser­viced by ECP’s lega­cy air­line part­ners – Amer­i­can Air­lines, Delta Air Lines, South­west Air­lines and Unit­ed Airlines.

ECP is push­ing the bound­aries for video and tele­vi­sion inno­va­tion and cre­ativ­i­ty at a time when the

indus­try is rapid­ly chang­ing” said Sab­ri­na Drid­je, Man­ag­ing Direc­tor of the Tel­ly Awards. This award is a trib­ute to the tal­ent and vision of its creators.”

The staff at ECP along with our mar­ket­ing part­ners at The Moore Agency and video pro­duc­tion part­ners at Frame are hon­ored to receive a Gold­en Tel­ly Award for the ECP Escape cam­paign video,” said Del Lee,

Chair­man of the Board of Direc­tors. The Escape cam­paign has been an inte­gral part of the ECP mar­ket­ing efforts over the past year, con­tribut­ing to 2017’s record break­ing total pas­sen­ger count of more than 939K.”

Today’s winner’s announce­ment caps a year-long ini­tia­tive by the Tel­ly Awards to rebuild the hon­ors for the mul­ti-screen era. Through­out 2017 – 2018 the Tellys refash­ioned their cat­e­gories to hon­or the type of work being made by lead­ing pro­duc­ers, includ­ing brand­ed con­tent, social video and ani­ma­tion, as well as work­ing with indus­try experts to iden­ti­fy impor­tant indus­try cat­e­gories where tech­nol­o­gy was play­ing an impact­ful role in the ways sto­ries are now being told: Vir­tu­al Real­i­ty, Inter­ac­tive and 360 Video. To judge all this new and inno­v­a­tive work, the Tellys recruit­ed over 200 new judges, from com­pa­nies such as Vimeo, Duplass Pro­duc­tions’ Donut, ust­wo, Dis­cov­ery Net­works, Vayn­er­Me­dia and Framestore.
