NORTHWEST FLORIDA BEACHES INTERNATIONAL AIPORT LAUNCHES SUMMER SERVICE ADDITIONS
Returning seasonal services and increase in flight frequency connects passengers to airline hubs for easy connections worldwide
PANAMA CITY, FL (April 19, 2016) – Gearing up for summer travel season, Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is welcoming back its seasonal flights and increased flight frequency throughout the summer months.
Enhanced seasonal nonstop service on Southwest has begun with flights scheduled through the summer season. Nonstop seasonal flights to Baltimore (BWI), St. Louis (STL), and Dallas (DAL) have already begun.
Silver is bringing back its full summer schedule with daily nonstop flights to Tampa (TPA) and Orlando (MCO).
Delta is also increasing its flight frequency throughout the season with an additional nonstop flight on Saturday to Atlanta (ATL).
This increase in service comes on the heels of the announcement from United Airlines surrounding additional flights from ECP to Houston (IAH) which provides easy access to their worldwide network.
“With these great airline partners, we are poised for a spectacular summer at the airport,” said Airport Executive Director Parker W. McClellan, Jr. “The returning seasonal flights and increased frequency offer our passengers new and exciting destinations to plan a summer vacation, as well as access to airline hubs for easy one-stop connections worldwide.”
ECP continues to grow and offer additional air service to passengers in the region. The airport had a record breaking year in 2015, with a total growth year over year of 9.35%. The success has continued into 2016, with 52,848 passengers this February at the airport, which was a 23.9% increase over last year.
