Q: Will the recent FDOT reg­u­la­tion requir­ing engi­neer­ing to be done by one firm and con­struc­tion inspec­tion to be done by anoth­er come into play and will you select more than one con­sul­tant because of that?

A: We have a sep­a­rate con­tract for Con­struc­tion Engi­neer­ing & Inspec­tion (CEI) already, good for anoth­er year, and then we will go out for anoth­er CEI to keep that clean and separate.

Q: Is there a cur­rent firm you have a con­tract with?

A: Yes: ZHA out of Orlando

Q: Will the project list con­tin­ue to evolve?

A: Yes: we are just fin­ish­ing up our Mas­ter Plan and it is quite pos­si­ble some of the projects may change, but that is what we have today. The Mas­ter Plan Update is being done by CHA Con­sult­ing, Inc.

Q: How many copies of the pro­pos­al do we need to submit?

A: One orig­i­nal, four copies, and one elec­tron­ic ver­sion. The orig­i­nal is for our record copy. Four copies because we will have four on the eval­u­a­tion team. The eval­u­a­tion team will include Park­er McClel­lan, Exec­u­tive Direc­tor; Richard McConnell, Deputy Exec­u­tive Direc­tor; Dar­lene Nel­son, Direc­tor of Finance and Admin­is­tra­tion; and Del Lee, imme­di­ate Past Chair­man of the Board and cur­rent Board Mem­ber. Q: Are you plan­ning to have a host tour so we can see the airport?

A: A phys­i­cal site tour has been sched­uled for Thurs­day, Dec. 10, at 9:30 a.m. (CST). The tour will be con­duct­ed with­in estab­lished health guide­lines. It is antic­i­pat­ed the tour will not take more than one hour. Please meet at the first floor Infor­ma­tion Desk in the Terminal.

Q: Please clar­i­fy the dif­fer­ence between the cur­rent firm that has this con­tract, and the firm doing the Mas­ter Plan Update.

A: They are two sep­a­rate com­pa­nies. ZHA has been our gen­er­al engi­neer­ing con­sul­tant for the last ten years. CHA is doing our Mas­ter Plan Update.

Q: Is there a page lim­it on the proposal?

A: Although not required, it is antic­i­pat­ed the State­ment of Qual­i­fi­ca­tions should not exceed 30 pages (does not include required Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Forms).
