Both cables are specified at 60ft. We do not recommend a 60ft 28v cable because the voltage drop is too great. We recommend 50ft as the longest 28v cable, please accept industry standard for the 28v cable.
Answer: 50ft cable length is acceptable for 28 VDC provided that GPU system performance is
not impacted.
2.4
Does the airport want special coatings in the coils considering the corrosive nature of the area? Also does the airport want a special paint or galvanization for the frame for the same conditions. Both of these upgrades will lengthen the life of the PCA unit.
Answer: As per specification is it assumed equipment to be provided will be compatible with
passenger boarding bridge and designed/manufactured to withstand local environment
conditions. No special provisions are required beyond those specified.
General Information: Attached are manufacture plates for each PBB being replaced under this
Invitation to Bid.
General Comment: Both GC section and SC section are approved, by policy, for current bid
projects at the Airport. They are not subject to modification on a case-by-case basis.
Comments and suggestions provided will be included for future policy reviews.
