Both cables are spec­i­fied at 60ft. We do not rec­om­mend a 60ft 28v cable because the volt­age drop is too great. We rec­om­mend 50ft as the longest 28v cable, please accept indus­try stan­dard for the 28v cable.

Answer: 50ft cable length is accept­able for 28 VDC pro­vid­ed that GPU sys­tem per­for­mance is

not impact­ed.

Does the air­port want spe­cial coat­ings in the coils con­sid­er­ing the cor­ro­sive nature of the area? Also does the air­port want a spe­cial paint or gal­va­niza­tion for the frame for the same con­di­tions. Both of these upgrades will length­en the life of the PCA unit.

Answer: As per spec­i­fi­ca­tion is it assumed equip­ment to be pro­vid­ed will be com­pat­i­ble with

pas­sen­ger board­ing bridge and designed/​manufactured to with­stand local environment

con­di­tions. No spe­cial pro­vi­sions are required beyond those specified.

Gen­er­al Infor­ma­tion: Attached are man­u­fac­ture plates for each PBB being replaced under this

Invi­ta­tion to Bid.

Gen­er­al Com­ment: Both GC sec­tion and SC sec­tion are approved, by pol­i­cy, for cur­rent bid

projects at the Air­port. They are not sub­ject to mod­i­fi­ca­tion on a case-by-case basis.

Com­ments and sug­ges­tions pro­vid­ed will be includ­ed for future pol­i­cy reviews.
