EXTENSION OF CONTRACT
JANITORIAL SERVICES – NORTHWEST FLORIDA BEACHES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
THIS EXTENSION OF CONTRACT JANITORIAL SERVICES – NORTHWEST FLORIDA BEACHES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT is made and entered into this 23rd day of November, 2020, by and between the Panama City-Bay County Airport and Industrial District, which shall hereafter be referred to as the “District,” and Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc., which shall be hereafter referred to as the “Contractor.”
WHEREAS, the District and Contractor entered into a Contract Janitorial Services – Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (“Agreement”) commencing on October 1, 2015 for Contractor to provide commercial janitorial services to District at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport;
WHEREAS, the original term of the Agreement ended on September 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Contractor has requested to extend the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, District is exempt from State of Florida procurement requirements pursuant to Rule Chapter: 60E‑1, Florida Administrative Code when procuring goods or services from Contractor;
WHEREAS, COVID 19 impacting the airport industry negatively and complicating janitorial services and the District believes it is prudent to extend the Agreement rather than attempt to secure a new Contractor and negotiate a new contract while these industries are being impacted by COVID 19; and
WHEREAS, the District’s Board of Directors approved a one-year extension to the Agreement on August 26, 2020.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants and conditions contained herein, and for such other good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which the parties hereby expressly acknowledge, District and Contractor agree to a one-year retroactive extension to the Agreement, which will expire at 11:59 P.M. on September 30, 2021.
IN WITNESS THEREOF,the parties have caused this Extension to be executed by their authorized representatives as of the day and year first above written;
